Convenient Location
The Ship are based near to the to town centre approximately two minutes walk from Chelmsford Train Station (and a similar distance from the Bus Station).
This means when you arrive you won’t need to organise a cab this end.
We’re also central enough that if you wish to explore Chelmsford’s nightlife everything is in easy walking distance.

Of course we’re also a popular Chelmsford destination for some excellent and filling pub grub.
We serve a varied menu from light bites like paninis and sandwiches through to something more substantial like burgers, steaks and all day breakfasts.
Combined with a great selection of Real Ales (we are Cask Marque accredited), Lagers, Wines and Cocktails The Ship has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
