EVENTS AT THE SHIP

Party On....

Join in the fun.

The Ship has an extensive range of fun days and nights for both our regular customers and new guests.

The Ship has a lively social calendar we enjoy with our customers from watching all the big games to our popular theme nights throughout the year.

From Beaujolais Day to Halloween and of course our theme food menu events The Ship has long been a favourite destination for people to letter hair down and have a great time.

From time to time we have live music, DJ’s and of course celebrate all the usual popular pub calendar events.

To stay up to date with what’s coming up please follow us on our Social Media channels.

A few or our regular events

St Patrick's Day

17th March

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at The Ship.

We usually have a special Irish themed food menu for the day along (of course) with a delicious drop of the black stuff or an Irish whiskey.

Halloween - October

We really enjoy our annual Spooky night at The Ship.

Held on the weekend closest to Halloween customers and staff have a scream!

We always deck the pub with cobwebs (not real ones), and all manner of ghoulish decoration. Along with DJ’s we’ve had face painters for the night on past occasions so you don’t even need to get your outfit together before heading down.

Halloween at The Ship sone hell of a night…

Beaujolais Nouveau Day - November

When is Beaujolais Nouveau Day?

Beaujolais Nouveau Day is  on the third Thursday in November each year.

In the UK Beaujolais Nouveau Day took off in the 1970’s where Landlords, Landladies and staff would race to France and back to see who could arrive with the wine back in their pub first (all probably fairly pointless but bragging rights are bragging rights)

This always a popular and funday at The Ship with the staff (and a few customers) dressing up and giving a little ‘oh la la’ to the whole proceedings.

We always have, along with the wine, a French themed menu for the day with Camembert chad, Coq au Vin, Moules Marinière and Escargot and Frogs legs for the more adventurous (if you’ve never tried frogs legs  before they taste quite like chicken).
